New Patient - Getting Started (transparent protocol under construction)

If this is your first time in therapy or an additional chapter in your therapeutic journey, the process of finding a therapist can be daunting - especially when you need help now.

While I cannot make up for the shortages in the mental health field I try to be as transparent as possible about my availability and the way that I work. Here is the most common route to getting started working with me:

1. Call for a free initial consultation at 415.356.9897 (If my practice is completely full I will leave an outgoing voicemail message within a week of confirming this status. I only offer consultations when I have openings).

2. I will typically offer consultation times on Fridays but am happy to find another time that works for both of us.

3. During the 15-minute consultation I will answer the questions you have about working with me. I will ask you what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to get out of therapy, in order to determine, at least initially, if I am good therapeutic match for you.
